  • Stoves/BBQs to be used OUTSIDE only (not inside tents/huts)

  • Place stoves/BBQs on bricks provided.

  • Fire pits are situated on each pitch and bags of large trug tubs of logs + kindling  are available to purchase for £10. BACS or paypal preferred.)

  • DO NOT move the fire pits. The campsite is nestled amongst trees and surrounded by arable crops. A rogue spark could be disastrous!

  • Extinguish all fires before bed.

  • Please note during exceptionally dry conditions near harvest we may have to impose a fire ban. Please respect this decision.

Facilities

Less than 10 wild camping pitches each with fire pit, picnic table and water tap.

1 premium tent pitch with private compost loo

1 Shepherd's hut

1 grass meadow available for hire for events

The site is off grid meaning there is no electricity supply. Remember to bring torches.

But don’t worry it’s not completely without amenities: there are male and female compost toilets and a gas powered shower situated near the car park.

You will also find waste disposal bins here (general waste and recycling.) Please leave no trace of rubbish on your pitch or around the site when you check out.

Pitches are woodland clearings: grass and earth. The ground may be hard ( bring a strong mallet) and uneven in places, (take care!)

  • The Beach. The site has direct access, via our private farm track, to the river beach offering stunning views over the river Stour. Here you can enjoy a paddle or a swim and launch kayaks/paddle boards etc.

  • Please note, the river is tidal and has strong undercurrents.

  • Personally, we try to only swim when the tide is coming IN.  Swimming is at your own risk.

  • To check the tide times, we use the following website: the closest location is ‘holbrook bay’

  • The beach also connects you to the local footpaths allowing you to explore miles of stunning AONB
